Mark was a wonderful neighbor for many years. We've just returned from Alaska to hear the sad news of Mark's passing. I wish peace and comfort to his family, may his memories make you happy again. I will never pull into my driveway without thinking of Mark and Mrs Poot.

Mark, so enjoyed music may he rest in peace. Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope for the time when we will see our loved ones again, for God promises at John 5:28,29 that we can have a real hope of being reunited with our dead loved ones. I hope this brings comfort to your friends and family at this time of grief. (2 Cor.1:3,4)

Mark was always helpful and supportive of his IT teammates, especially with new employees who were trying to navigate their way in R&D IT. I will always remember his calm nature and the smile on his face. He was a pleasure to work with at Alcon / Novartis.

I was a good friend of Marks from Global IT R&D. There is one thing that I would like to share. He came over to my desk everyday to get a Brenda fix to start his day. I had a tendency to Snort when I laugh, so he would come by and tell a corny joke and we would get to laughing. He was a true friend.

Mark and I would take a break from work a few times a week to unwind a bit and discuss the dirt bike riding and talking about riding together once he was through this next challenge in his life. We talked about what his next motorcycle purchase was going to be to put in the garage and use for motivation. I can't begin to say how much I wish there was a KTM 150SX sitting in his garage right now. I'll miss those conversations but will continue to ride with the memory of Mark and his positive outlook.

Mark will be sorely missed by many of us who were his close friends during the wild and wooly days of High School and Louisiana Tech. He and I were in several short-lived garage bands. Played drums together in Parkway High School Marching and Concert bands. we were colleagues and collaborators, and always friendly competitors. Mark rarely accepted second best when it came to music. He always gave his best and wanted you to, as well. He was equally influential in my life at Tech. We went through several years of the Computer Science curriculum together. We even roomed together for a couple of quarters. Mark was one of the sharpest and most intelligent people that I have ever met. After I left Louisiana in 1980, our lives diverged, but I always wished for more contact with Mark. He was inspiring in his passions. To find out that he had a cat named Geddy is perfect. He turned me on to Rush, and we explored Yes together. I still love both of those bands. :D <3

Saddened to hear of Mark's passing. We shared some really good times growing up in Bossier City and I'll never forget our jam sessions, working on his cars and going to watch him compete in motorcross.
My deepest sympathies.

This is such a shock to hear this morning. I was looking forward to making more music with my dear friend. Maybe another time another place. I will truly miss him. All my prayers to his Mother and Brother.

Mark was always a part of our youth growing up in Bossier City. Our families had lots of similarities and lots of differences, but Mark was a 'cool young kid' to us older ones.
Condolences on this very sad loss.
