Obituary of George Eugene Neal

George Eugene Neal Jr., 90, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday, Apr. 29, 2013, Thompson's Harveson & Cole, 702 Eighth Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104. Entombment: Mount Olivet Mausoleum. George was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Fort Worth to George and Mayme Neal. He was a graduate of North Side High School in 1940. George served in World War IIas a gunner for the Marines on a Douglas SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber. He owned and operated G&W Sales and Services for 20 years before moving to Whitney in 1976. George built his own boat house on Lake Whitney where he would spend most days fishing. When he wasn't fishing he loved watching the Cowboys and playing pool. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Louise Raymond Neal. Survivors: Children, Larry Neal and wife, Jean, Patrick Micheal Neal, George Neal and wife, Sunny, Eleanor Thompson Tucker and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Jeffery Neal, Heather Neal, Candice Thompson, Christopher Neal, Jon Thompson, Jeanne Neal; and four great-grandchildren.
