My father rented the building his shop Gordon's Kar Kare was in from Eddie. While I was in high school I worked in the office for my dad. One day Mr. Scoggins came in and I was in the phone gossiping with one of my friends from school and didn't notice he had walked in. We were talking about some boy that we really liked. When I turned around and saw Mr. Scoggins standing there I was so embarrassed. He looked at me and told me it was ok that he had teenaged daughters, which I knew because Monica and me were in the same grade. So Everytime I saw him after that he would joke with me about it. My deepest and sincerest sympathies to the Scoggins family. Mr. Scoggins will be missed.

Uncle Eddie is my favorite uncle. Growing up, he was always joyful, jovial and fun. I looked forward to seeing them all the summers I came out. He had good advice on life, always being positive. It hurts my heart that he is gone. May he Rest In Peace. I love my family and they are in my thoughts and prayers.

One of the most loved memory of Eddie was a story my mother and father told many times. Eddie came home the first day of kindergarten just boo-hooing he was beside himself. When mother asked him what in the world was wrong, he sobbed ,“ Why didn’t you call me Elizabeth!!” And for the rest of the story :he loved that name so much when he grew up he married an Elizabeth
