Donald Gene Browning, Jr, 51, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Service: 11 am Wednesday, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Ft. Worrth. Gene was born on July 23, 1969 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Joyce and Donald Browning. He retired from the United States Army and was a military recruiter for several years. Most recently he was a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch. Gene was a proud veteran but an even prouder American. He was fiercely loyal and protective of those he loved. He never met a stranger and loved to start conversations wherever he went. Gene enjoyed playing games both online and in person and was notoriously competitive. He loved getting together with his friends for game days. He enjoyed yard work and it was his goal to have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. Gene loved to cook and to experiment with new flavors and recipes. Gene will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors: Wife, Crystal Browning; Children, Katja Sinner and husband Tanner, Courtney Browning. Children by love, Joshua Smith and Skylier Smith; Mother, Joyce Browning; Sister, Glenda Margerum and husband Wayne; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Browning and Brother, Alan Browning.
