Carol Elaine Cooper Baker was born May 10, 1961 to Bobbie and Cecil Cooper in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Carl Baker December 23, 1999.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole, 4350 River Oaks Blvd, River Oaks, TX 76114.
Her brother immediately began calling his baby sister “Sweet”. A name that traveled with her through high school yet lived as a descriptor of her throughout her life. A beautiful, happy child, Elaine loved wearing her majorette uniform that matched her Aunt’s and attending weekly football games.
Elaine’s keen sense of humor, laughter, beauty and loyalty were outstanding qualities that made her relationships and the world rich.
Her years at Irving Nimitz High School formed forever friendships based on unconditional love and free of judgement.
As an adult, Elaine spent Sunday afternoons with Mama Toots and Granddaddy cheering the Dallas Cowboys and sharing a mutual love for Troy Aikman with her Grandmother. The Dallas Stars we also high on her radar.
Elaine found her true passion when she became a surrogate mother to Sophie Marie, Miranda Elaine and Aaron Mark. She was their care giver, cheerleader, friend and confidant offering then unconditional love and acceptance.
Family was of upmost importance to Elaine. She felt very blessed when her marriage to Ceb brought his sister, Becky, his Mother, Ellen and other family members into her life.
She dealt with healing issues for a number of years, yet did so with her unique humor, steadfast courage and strength. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will live in and through all the lives she touched.
Left to cherish her are her brother, Robert Wane Cooper, sisters, Cheryle Massie, Amy Beth Rives (Robert), sister -in-law, Becky Cabe, Aunt, Carol Record( Mike), nieces Sophia Massie, Miranda Massie, Shelby Rives , Britni Graham, Lacey Ballou , nephews, Aaron Massie , Ryan Rives , Brann Graham, Lachlan Graham , Koby Cooper , Darby Ballou, and Wesley Ballou.
