Obituary of Zora Ervin Patty, Jr.

Zora Ervin Patty Jr., 90, passed away September 10, 2021 in Fort Worth. “Zep,” as he was known most of his adult life, grew up in Marshall, TX. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He then graduated from East Texas Baptist College in three years with honors, having met and married the love of his life Phylliss there.
He began his accounting career in Fort Worth at Stanolind Oil and Gas, which became Pan American and later Amoco. After posts in New Orleans and Tulsa, he moved his family to Antwerp, Belgium, the first of several overseas assignments that totaled 22 years. Posts followed in Chicago, Pakistan, Egypt and Trinidad, West Indies. His last position was Manager Finance and Administration for Amoco Trinidad Petroleum Co. In 1991, he returned to Fort Worth to enjoy his beloved Texas in retirement.
Zep loved watching sports, especially college football, and sharing stories of his many life adventures. While younger, he was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Phylliss and is survived by daughter Cathy Breschini.
