I met Tanu at the elementary school our daughters both attended by happenstance. We remained friends ever since as did our girls. He was the kindest, most caring man I have ever met. My darling Ali, Ryan and Ryleeann you three were the absolute loves of his life and I know he will be watching you from above.
My heart and prayers are with you and all of the Atuatasi family.
My darling Taz, I will love you always my friend and always remember our time spent together, especially conversations held over coffee flavored ice cream.
Rest in love and peace sweetheart.

Though Tanu and I had been divorced for 20+ years, we remained friends for our daughter, Ali (Mary). We even went on road trips together (imagine that), once to surprise Ali who had gone on vacation with her grandparents and cousins and another time to meet our second born grandchild, RyleeAnn.
If you knew Tanu, you knew he was quiet, kind, a gentle giant, who loved his family and would do anything to make them happy.
No doubt in my mind that when Tanu got to heaven, God said to him, "Well done my faithful servant. Well done."
Hard to believe you are gone and so noticeable in our lives. Rest in Peace Tanu. You are missed.
(Ali and I have a hard decision to make, which grandchild gets to keep your favorite shirt.! You know which one!)

Tanu was my brother in law. And even though he and my sister have been divorced for many years, he was still a part of our family. He was always there for us. Heaven gained another angel and we, unfortunately, lost one. Sleep in peace, Tanu. We love you!!
