Obituary of Victor Hugo Ballesteros
Please share a memory of Victor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Victor Hugo Ballesteros ran into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, November 20, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021, Church at the Cross, 3000 William D Tate Ave, Grapevine, TX 76051.
Victor was born on February 8, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Jenner and Fanny Ballesteros. He was a graduate from DeSoto Highschool and went on to play soccer and volleyball at Dallas Baptist University where he studied both his books and his girlfriend Myrandi Phipps. He received a bachelor’s degree in Religious Education and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from DBU. On February 4, 1995 he married his college sweetheart, Myrandi. And in 1998, he became a father (one of his most favorite roles) when Brynlee Madison joined their happy family. Maycee Rian made their family complete when she was born in 2001.
Victor had a passion for working with college students and impacted lives at Dallas Baptist University, Parker University, and most recently Tarrant County College. Victor touched lives wherever he went and will be remembered as, not only a wonderful husband and loving father, but as a good and kind friend. He thought of others above himself and found ways to always turn conversations away from himself and to another. Victor loved sports, yard work, tinkering in the garage, and spending time with his family. Most of all, Victor loved the Lord and lived his life in obedience to His calling.
Victor is preceded in his death by his mother, Fanny. He is survived by his wife, Myrandi; two daughters, Brynlee and Maycee; his father, Jenner; stepmother, Fanny; sister, Monica; father and mother in-law, brothers and sisters in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
Throughout his whole journey with cancer, Victor reminded us that it is “all for God’s glory.” Even in his last moments, he proclaimed His love for Jesus. We are thankful for his eternal healing and that the Lord has taken away all his pain and suffering. We will miss him terribly, but because of the hope that the gospel brings, our goodbyes are not final.
