Obituary of Stella Mae Specks
Stella M. Vaughan Specks, 78, passed away, into the arm of Jesus, on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Chapel, 4350 River Oaks Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas 76114.
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76133.
She was born to the parentage of Robert and Dollie Baynham Vaughan in Calloway County, Missouri on February 28, 1943.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School, in New Bloomfield, Missouri.
She met and married Charlie R. Specks and the two were married over 50 years before his passing on February 24th, 2010.
Stella was a devoted member of the First Saint John Cathedral under Bishop Kenneth Spears.
Stella was a dedicated worker for the Fort Worth State School, and later worked for Harris Hospital until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and prided herself on being very self-sufficient, despite her physical limitations. She enjoyed reading and was very sentimental in the joy of making others feel good by sending them cards, gifts, and she loved sharing love and being loved, and she enjoyed all holidays with family and friends, and she will be missed by so many.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie R. Specks; son, Charles Specks; two sisters, Geraldine Holt and Myrtle Cave; and three brothers, Leslie Vaughan, Wesley Vaughan, and Clarence Vaughan.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: One daughter, Tina Specks (Sonya Bradley); granddaughter, Cara Joubert (Caleb); great grandchildren, Caleb, CJ, and Symone; special nephews, Freddie (Diane) and Billy Cave; special niece, Katheryn Cooper (JL); a lifetime special friend, Pearline Allen; special friend, Beatrice Armstrong; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and dear friends.
