Obituary of Ben Z. Moreno

It is with heavy hearts that we share with you that our beloved parents, Ben and Josephine Moreno, passed away peacefully within days of each other in January 2022.

Their 63-year love story is a testimony in and of itself of their unwavering commitment to each other, their children, their families and most importantly their commitment of surrender to Life Eternal through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ben and Josephine met no strangers they embraced any and everyone they encountered. They were very generous kind people who enjoyed helping and encouraging others and always shared their life through Christ which was represented the moment anyone met them.

Ben Z Moreno was born April 3, 1936, in Bryan Texas to the late Tomasa (Zaragoza) Valadez. Ben proudly served in US Marine Corp from 1957-1961 and a retired Electrical Engineer from Dow Chemical. His greatest joy was having been saved by our Lord Jesus by faith through grace and his favorite scripture was Revelations 3:20

Josephine V Moreno was born October 3, 1935, in Houston Texas to the late Blas T and Esperanza (Betancourt) Villarreal. Josephine was a faithful servant of God. She spent many years as a homemaker, excellent cook, seamstress and exceptional mother not only to her children but to family and friends as well.

Those left to cherish their memory are their brothers, sisters and their four children, Linda R (late David) Juarez, Lisa A (Pablo) Serna, Jonathan D (late Nancy) Moreno, and Ruth Trotter; their grandchildren Jeremy (Lorrae), Joseph, Kayla (Robert), Pablo III and four great grandchildren.

Above all else the family prays that our triune God receives all glory and honor through their life and testimony that many souls be saved through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
