Rita Wilson, 82, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
Memorial Service: 11:00am Saturday, August 15, First United Methodist Church, 301 S Main St, Weatherford.

Rita was born on January 9, 1933 in Levelland, Texas to WC and Della Elliot. She graduated from Levelland Senior High School, Texas Tech University and continued graduate studies at Hardin-Simmons, University of North Texas, and TWU. Rita was an inspiration to the students she taught in Brownfield, Poolville, and Weatherford where she retired after 25 years of service. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Alpha Delta Kappa, and Retired Teachers Association. She loved writing, travel, theater, music, books, and her family. As a true Southern lady, she shared her gracious spirit and creative mind with all who were blessed to have known her.
Survivors: Daughters, Tracy Wilson and Christie Wilson; son, Tom Wilson and wife Mary; grandchildren, Rebecca Wilson and Sarah Villalobos; sisters, Berniece Minzenmayer and Anita Gammon, niece, Dwanna Nichols, nephew Jim Bridges and extended family.
