Georgia was born in Ryan, Okla., on April 16, 1926, to Mary and Hensley Kieth. Georgia was brought up listening to tales and exploits of her grandfather moving cattle on the Chisholm Trail. After attending schools in Ryan, Wichita Falls and Fort Worth, Georgia married A.D. Hickman and they moved to Fort Worth, where their two children, Don and David, were born and raised and where they were involved in the activities of their children.
Georgia loved horse racing. When no longer involved in the racing of their horses, she and A.D. spent three months each year in Hot Springs during the racing season. They made many friends during those years and continued to stay in contact with them when she was no longer able to attend the racing season. Georgia had the reputation as an excellent horse handicapper.
Georgia was a very determined and strong-willed person and remained true to herself right up to the end.
Georgia was predeceased by her husband, A.D. Hickman, and grandson, Grady Lee Hickman.
Survivors: Sons, Don Hickman and David Hickman of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Lindsey Reagan of New Jersey and Anne Hickman of Port Aransas; great-grandchildren; close family friend, Sharon Pate; and many friends.
