Sandi and I are saddened to hear about the passing of Ryan.
I first really connected with Ryan some 30 years ago as we would visit and discuss sports at one of the many local sporting events in Arlington. He may have been there supporting Justin as I was there supporting one of my sons Sean or Chris. Ryan would always tell me " teach them the mental part of the game ". The physical part will come naturally. Such wisdom from a young man.
As time passed Sandi and I were both fortunate enough to be Ryan and Beth's " Sponsor Couple " as they both prepared to be married in the Catholic Church. We enjoyed them both so much!
Since that time our connections would take place at the local Tom Thumb or Wal Mart. Ryan was usually with Beth and she would patiently wait as we would both fill each other in on family updates.
That infectious Ryan smile will be missed but will always be remembered along with that wonderful attitude. We send all of our love and prayers to Beth, Ronny and Theresa, Nikki, Amanda, Justin, spouses and all other family members. Mike and Sandi McDermott

Ryan was a very intense athlete, on the field, but was equally as kind and nice off the field. I don't recall a time I ever saw him when he didn't have a smile on his face. My condolences to his family, loved ones, and his many friends. God bless!

We have so many happy memories of Ryan. I have so many things in my mind right now. Playing basketball in our driveway, cornhole in the yard, dinners at the club, Monopoly on the big TV that Ava thought was so cool, trips out to Mineola and that crazy red scooter he just loved. He and Britt playing games at Texas Live like they were kids and Beth and I just watching and laughing. We loved so many things about Ryan but what I loved most was how sweet he always was with our daughter, Ava. From day one he was her buddy. I remember Ryan saying he thought of Ava like a niece and loved her competitive sporty side and how much she loves animals just like him. We were lucky enough to know Ryan for 10 years and we will love him and miss him for a lifetime.
