Obituary of Melanie Ann Gardiner
Melanie was born in Fort Worth, Texas on Monday December 13, 1954.She passed on August 9, 2022. Melanie was born to Bill and Jane Medlen, now Jane Parke. Melanie was the first of 4 children, with two sisters and one brother. The family moved to Azle, Texas in 1964 where Melanie entered the Azle School District and graduated Azle High School early at mid-term Class of 1973.
Melanie loved being outdoors. She played softball, enjoyed bass fishing and was an avid cyclist. She was proud of the fact that she had ridden the Hotter-n-Hell bike ride 27 years in a row. Melanie also loved country dancing and was also a clogger.
Melanie had a quick and sometimes a cutting wit. Do not ask her something you really did not want the answer to. She had an infectious smile and a laugh to go with it.
Melanie is survived by her husband of 48 years Bryon, son William and wife Casey, son Adam and grandsons Trinity, Bryon, Joseph, Ray and Finn and granddaughter Daelyn. Also, her mother Jane Parke, sisters Debbie Watson and Kim Fowler and brother Bill Medlen.
Melanie was preceded in death by her father Bill Medlen and mamaw Millie Bell Cockrell.

The family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date.
