Obituary of Dustin Joseph Molnar

Please share a memory of Dustin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dustin Joseph Molnar passed away on February 15, 2023. He was 25.

Dustin was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 24, 1997, to Douglas Molnar and Effie Sue Bates. Dustin was a very laid-back kid. Growing up, he could always be found riding his bike in the street with his sister or walking along the creeks. Being with friends was his joy. He always wanted to help his family and friends. Dustin joined the Cub Scouts and achieved his Arrow of Light. He then moved on to the Boy Scouts and achieved his Star rank.

Dustin graduated high school in 2015 at Fossil Ridge High school Fort Worth, Texas. Not long after, he enlisted in the Marines in February of 2016 to serve his country. He worked his military career as a Basic Landing Support Specialist. He advanced himself in his career from Private, to Private First-Class, then Lance Corporal, and up to Corporal. His amazing journey took him to Okinawa, Japan and many other destinations. During this time, he earned many decoration medals. These medals include: Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, SEA Service Deployment Ribbon, and Expert Rifle Qualification Badge "3".

After an honorable discharge from the Marines, he used part of his GI Bill to go to trade school to work with wind energy. He landed a job with Field Core where he worked on wind turbines! He truly enjoyed his life adventures. Dustin is a hero to everyone in their own way. He worked hard for everything he had, but always had the weirdest, most outrageous things (who needs a water bottle that tells you your water temperature?). He truly was a “bougie redneck”. This, as well as his many other great qualities, will live on through everyone that knew him.

Dustin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Sandy Godard; his brother, Bishop Kline, and his aunt, Erin Marburger.

He is survived by his parents, Douglas Molnar and Sue Bates; his siblings, Brandon Kline and Jenna Molnar; step mom Jennifer Molnar, step siblings Tythaniel Norris, Kayleana Norris and Mylisa Ormsbee, his grandparents, Pam and Ron Marburger, and Dennis Molnar; his aunts and uncles, Angie Godard, Tonya Strong, Alexis Molnar, Andrea Molnar, Tycha Marotta, Philip Marburger, Matthew Marburger, Debi Teter, Daniel Rodvelt, Michael Marotta, and Eddie Bates; his niece and nephew, Alissa and Dalton McCann; and his cousins, Marisa Zamora, Jacob Strong, Rachel Strong, Michael Brandon Marotta, Tyler Marotta, Jessica Blakey, Connor Gibbs, and Cassidy Gibbs.

Dustin was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Dustin’s Pallbearers for the funeral will be Brayton Ridenour, Ryan Segal, Michael Marotta, Tyler Marotta, Brandon Kline, and Connor Hoseney. Honorary Pallbearers for Dustin are Daniel Novak, Dee J Huddleston and Dustin’s late brother, Bishop Kline.
