Obituary of Sean Alexander Hays
Sean Alexander Hays, 29, passed away in Bedford, Texas on April 13, 2023.
Sean was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on December 29, 1993, to Daryl Hays and Angela Everitt.
After graduating high school, he attended Tarleton State University where he made some of his best friends, then began a career as an electrician.
Above all else, Sean was a man that loved his family; especially his nephews who nicknamed him “Uncle Bear.” An adventurer at heart, “Uncle Bear” slowed down a little to be the best uncle he could; from attending sporting events to simply being present in their lives, he enjoyed every minute with his nephews. He gave the best hugs and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He was a free spirit; selfless, kind, gentle and outgoing all bundled into one amazing person.
Sean loved being outdoors, from hiking to hunting for waterfalls, he had a passion for discovering new things and new places. He enjoyed trying new foods and was a great cook. He was an avid supporter of homeless animals, picking up and caring for all the strays he could find but never finding one that he loved as much as his beloved dog Rudy, who he loved like a son. Sean was well rounded, very intelligent, and always brought a side of comic relief to any situation.
While we are sad he is no longer with us here on Earth, we know the best parts of Sean will live on in the people he loved so dearly.
Sean is preceded in death by his brother, Weston Hays.
He is survived by his mother, Angela Everitt; father, Daryl Hays and wife, Laura Nell; sister, Jessica Cook and husband, Cody; nephews, Jett, Weston and Benny Cook; grandmother, Bonnie McGilvray; and numerous other friends and family.
