Obituary of Sonny William Norrell

Please share a memory of Sonny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sonny William Norrell, 32, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2023.

He was born on September 13, 1990, in Fort Worth, Texas to Curtis Norrell and Maria Perales.

According to his mother, Sonny was daddy’s boy and showed unconditional love to those he cared for. He was honest and always spoke the truth, all you had to do was ask. One of his greatest joys was his family, he did everything he could to make them proud and especially loved the role of Uncle to his nieces and nephews. When his brother, Jaime moved away Sonny would visit him as much as he could, often heading straight to Jaime’s after a long day of work just to see his brother and his family.

Sonny was a dedicated employee and really loved his job at Wal-Mart, going above and beyond to make sure all his duties were done during his shift. He worked hard for everything he had, never expecting a handout from anyone. He saved up and bought his first car, the pride he had was evident by the way he meticulously maintained it.

When he wasn’t working you could find him playing disk golf, fishing, shooting skeet at the gun range, or riding motorcycles. He enjoyed doing everything with his dad, especially working on cars and raising rabbits.

Sonny is survived by his father, Curtis Norrell; mother, Maria Perales; stepfather, James D. Ramsey; 3 sisters; 1 brother; several nieces and nephews as well as many other friends and family members.
