Obituary of Norman Victor Gomes

Norman V. (Gomie) Gomes passed away Sunday October 8, 2023 after a long battle with AML Leukemia while surrounded by his beloved ones. He was 81 years old.

Born in New Bedford MA he lived in Hurst, Texas after residing in Palmdale, CA for over 32 years.

Norman worked for Air-Dry Corporation in Northridge, CA for over 14 years until his retirement. Norman enjoyed antiquing, flea marketing, yard sales and enjoyed building and repairing antique lamps. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a cheerful person.

Norman was the son of the late Ramona and John Mendonca. His family includes his wife Christine Gomes of Hurst, Texas, Norman Gomes Jr of Northridge, Ca, Rodney Gomes of Simi Valley CA, Jeffrey Gomes of Simi Valley, CA, Michelle Gomes of New Bedford, MA, Trevor Kish and Henry Donegan of CA. Norman had 4 sisters and 3 brothers. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
