I always enjoyed going to visit Grandpa Joe to see what new invention or creation he was working on. Cool dude, tremendous carpenter, and fun to hang out with. Will miss you.

Joel was the best dad! He often had to be mom and dad. He braided my hair into Pippy Longstocking pigtails for a production, he helped me create an amazing scorpion model for a science report. He taught me how to change my oil and a tire. He taught me how to fish and how to replace a ceiling fan (and wire it correctly). He spent time fishing and playing in the backyard with his four grandsons who he loved so much. Always in my heart Daddy! I love you!

You were such a kind, sweet, and gentle soul. I remember hanging out with your daughter Brandi as kids and you were always so kind and welcoming. I know that you and Brandi were so close. I know that you will be greatly missed.

Pop- Joe was a great man, stepfather and grandfather. We became family in my teen years - He was kind , ingenious, witty very humorous and could cook a mean brisket. He was there to teach me how to fix my old car. He was there to support me when my heart was broken . He was there to pick me up when I fell down literally and figuratively. Spent many Friday nights eating pizza and playing pinochle with Pop (Joe) and Mom. So many great memories. My heart is incredibly sad but my memories are happy .

Joel was my neighbor and friend for more than 20 years. He taught me many thing about owning a home and how to repair things! He was a very generous man with his time and knowledge, he knew more than anyone I know!! There are countless times where he would see me trying to do something and come over and help me. I would repay him by getting some beers and going over to his house and having a couple. I miss him and think of him often!!!!
