Jeffrey Clayton Spence, 56, of North Richland Hills died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, October 19, 2014 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Jeff was born on April 15, 1958 in Fort Worth to Sally and Clayton Spence. He was a 1976 graduate of Haltom High School and attended TCC. Jeff was highly trained in commercial air conditioning and taught technical courses at Dallas Community College in addition to his satisfying career with Hidalgo Industrial Services.
Jeff was happily married to the love of his life, Linda Morrow Spence, for thirty-three years. They were blessed with two daughters, Jennifer Lynn, and Whitney Anne. Jeff is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter, Jennifer Spence Rogers, and her husband, Jody, daughter, Whitney Anne Spence, and granddaughter, Tatum Grace. He is also survived by his parents, Sally Pyburn Spence and Clayton D. Spence, one sister, Cynthia Spence Hughes, and her husband, Daniel, and a host of extended family.
Jeff and Linda especially enjoyed their time together at their farm in Baylor County. They were always accompanied by Moose, their Jack Russell Terrier, who maintained constant vigil for White-tailed Deer. Jeff also loved to hunt dove and deer with his father, Clayton Spence, to fish, and to roam antique fairs. Jeff was highly intelligent and a man of great character. He had a strength that was more than physical. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
