Obituary of Katherine Dillaha Chantara
Katherine Dillaha Chantara passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Sardis, Mississippi, Katherine Chantara came into this world on July 13, 1961. She attended Houston Speech and Hearing Center, Trimble Tech HS and TCJC. A dedicated and hard worker, she worked at Alcon Laboratories for 38 years, where she would make lifelong friends through retirement and beyond.
Kathy was dedicated to her family; a committed and loving spouse to her husband, Smit Chantara, as well as a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Full of life and a playful attitude, Kathy loved to travel and play jokes on people. The life of the party and always a positive and joyful sense of humor, you could count on her for a good laugh.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Smit Chantara; children, Allan Brazzil, Tanya Chantara, and Michelle Meador; grandchildren, Delaina Brazzil, Bryce Brazzil, Nicholas Meador, Wyatt Meador, Marshall Meador, and Mya Chantara-Gonzales, great-grandchild, Ian Monroe.
Preceded in death by her father, Dr. Alton Roe Dillaha (1983) and sister Ruth Marie(1957), Kathy also leaves behind her mother, Delphis Dillaha, sister, Nerissa, brother David, their spouses and many nieces and nephews.
