Charles L Mullins, Jr. 60, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
The family will celebrate his life at a private service .
Larry was born January 26, 1954 in Greenville, Texas. He was the third born of seven children to Charles Larry and Geneva Mullins.
Early on, Larry developed a lifelong passion for cinema. Particularly the golden era of the 40's through the 60's. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the art of film making, Producing and Directing.
Larry had a big heart and always pulled for the underdog.
Last year he battled back from a life threatening illness that left him weakened but wiser. His recovery from that was an inspiration to his entire family. Then, when confronted with a diagnosis of Cancer a few short weeks ago, it became clear that the odds were stacked against him. He took the news bravely, and chose to forego the exhaustive chemotherapy. Saying, "I've had a long good life I am at peace and I want to go out with a smile on my face ," and he did. After each visit with him, Larry would send us off with a smile and two thumbs up. That is how we will remember him.
Survivors: Sisters, Cathy Snow and husband Shawn of Toronto, and Nancy Wood and husband Steve of Ft Worth, brothers, Terry Mullins and wife Theresa of Dallas, Gary Mullins and wife Ava of Jacksonville, Tx, Steve Mullins and wife Ann, of Omaha, and Andy Mullins and wife Joleen of L.A.
