My wife and I were excited that Mike and Neal were able to attend our daughter's sweet sixteen in 2022. I have looked at these pictures many times before but never noticed that Mike was looking at something or someone slightly off-camera. I want to say that he was looking at me and smiling but Neal may argue that point. It's hard to imagine that you are no longer with us, but from our first time meeting to the things I heard about you, I knew you were the guy I needed to emulate. I will always have your back and just like you had shouted out to me during my speech at Olivia's sweet sixteen; I love you too.

I met Mike in the beginning of his career in aviation. I was fortunate enough to introduce him into avionics, which he immediately took a shine to, became his career of choice. He was not only a co worker, but became a very close and dear friend. Our paths were mingled for 30+ years and my life is better for it. Mike was one of the best persons I've had the privilege of calling my friends. He was good hearted, smart, caring and would fight for what he believed in. My entire family and I will miss him dearly. Until we meet again my friend, I look forward to the reunion.

I had the privilege to meet and come to work for Mike back in 2015. Our personalities meshed quickly and our friendship was more like brothers. I just can not believe my dear friend has left too soon, but the friends that remain will carry on his dream and remind people of this great leader. I find joy in thinking of the fun times we shared on the lake, surfing and floating the hours away. Mike loved golf and we shared great memories chasing that little white ball. Mike brought many laughs to me and everyone around him. It is simply hard to except that I’ll never see my buddy walk into my office and sit down for a casual conversation about football, politics, cars, golf, or to listen to me rave about how the Crimson Tide is the greatest (‘Mike would talk about my Alabama slack jaw accent)!!! I sure miss you my friend and your memory will remain with me forever.
