Obituary of Rose Myronelle Whitington

Rose Myronelle Whitington, 83, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on March 10, 2024, in Keller, Texas.

Services: A visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. with a service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2024, at House of Grace Church, 7850 Davis Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX 76182.

Interment: Bluebonnet Hill Cemetery, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.

Rose was born on December 30, 1940, in Edom, Texas, to Elbert Pugh and Gladys Tidwell. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1959, pursued higher education at Arlington State College, and later transferred to North Texas State University, where she graduated with honors in English Studies.

During her time at Arlington State College, Rose met the love of her life, David Whitington, whom she married on June 1, 1963. She devoted herself to serving as a steadfast pastor's wife and teacher at their local church for over fifty years.

Rose is survived by her beloved husband, David Whitington; sons, Timothy, Matthew, Nathan, and Andrew Whitington; brothers, Toby and Roger Pugh; as well as ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
