I met Richard and Jan in South Carolina. We played golf together often at our community course. I recall witnessing one of Richard's hole-in-ones. A beautiful 160 yard shot on hole #7.

I have always admired Dick, not only for his remarkable dedication and achievements in his field, but for how caring and thoughtful he was to all. We are all lucky to have known and been friends with Dick. His life was well lived. Kind and compassionate and of course highly intelligent. But most important he was a good person, father , and husband. Arthur and Marianne Schneider.
