Obituary of Dana Ray Cantwell
Dana Ray Cantwell, 79, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at North Davis Church of Christ, located at 1601 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
Dana was born on November 16, 1944, in Dallas, TX, to Raymond Grider and Mozelle Maddox. She graduated from Garland High School in 1963 and pursued a career as a hairdresser. Alongside her sister, Nancy, she ventured into business by starting a wallpaper-hanging company. However, her primary and most cherished role in life was that of a devoted mother, dedicated to raising her children and supporting her family.
Dana had a passion for bowling and was actively involved with the Dallas Women's Bowling Association. She was also an avid fan of John Wayne, finding joy and inspiration in his films.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonja Cantwell; parents, Raymond Grider and Mozelle Maddox; and sister, Linda McKinley.
Dana is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Terry; sons, Frank Cantwell and his wife Alisa, and Kenneth Trent and his wife Deloris; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
