I have such fond memories of Mr. Wren when I was his student at North Side High School. He always had a smile and was fun, but firm. I can only imagine the lives he touched and the amazing impact he had on his students. What a wonderful man.

I’ve remembered Mr. Wren fondly over the decades as he was a favorite teacher of mine. I was in his Biology class at Southwest and was not a particularly good or focused student. Yet in spite of that he always treated me with great patience, understanding and respect. He treated me with the very same kindness and respect that he showed to the more disciplined, straight A students. This was something that I always appreciated about him. It helped me realize I could do better and made me want to work harder. He was a wonderful teacher and a very kind man. Rest in peace Mr. Wren and blessings of comfort to his family and to all who mourn his loss.
