Douglas Lee Boynton, Sr., passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014. Service: 7 pm Thursday, Broadway Baptist Church, Ft. Worth. Visitation: 2 pm - 4 pm Thursday, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr, Ft. Worth. Interment: 11:15 am Friday, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Douglas was born on March 9, 1937 in Houston to George and Harriet Boynton, He was loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Douglas was a gifted calligrapher and owned the Scripture Graphics for many years before retiring. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. Douglas was a substitute teacher in the Crowley ISD. He enjoyed calligraphy, reading, and playing volleyball. Survivors: Wife, Nancy Boynton; son, Lee Boynton and wife Debbie; daughter, Deborah McCain and husband Steve; grandchildren, Douglas Boynton, Kayla Clinton, Kieth Boynton, Rebecca Boynton and Kathrine Boynton; great-grandchildren, James Boynton, Quinlynn Clinton and Zoe Boynton.
