Obituary of Robert Emmett Dunham
Our precious husband and father Robert Emmett Dunham left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 14, 2024 at the age of 75. Known by so many friends and family as “Bobby”.
He was a Loving husband and father, brother and friend to all who met him and knew him. He never met a stranger and he was devoted to his family and friends.
He was born on April 9, 1949 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Robert Clinton Dunham and Jacqueline Rosseau Mahanay Dunham.
Throughout his life, Robert worked hard. He retired from Bell Helicopter where he earned respect from all that he worked with. He served in the US Military and in Vietnam from 1969 to l971.
He loved owning and riding horses, mowing the pasture with his new Tractor , taking trips to Oklahoma and spending time with his two Grandsons.
He Loved his church, Lane Prairie Baptist Church in Joshua. There he served as Sunday School Teacher, Chairman of the Deacons and Singing in the Choir. His church family meant so much to him.
Robert is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughter Holly Garner and husband Chris Garner, two grandsons, Alex and Preston Garner, Sisters, Dianne Deaver, Alicia Erwin and husband Gregg Erwin, Yvonne Clinkscale and husband Tim Clinkscale, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by Robert and Jackie Dunham and brother-in-law Chet Deaver.
He will be deeply missed but forever in our Hearts. He leaves a legacy of love, integrity, humility and kindness.
A Celebration of Life on this earth will be held on January 18, 2025 at 11 AM at Lane Prairie Baptist Church in 412 County Rd 704, Joshua, TX 76058.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Wounded Warrior Project or to Lane Prairie Baptist Church in Joshua, Texas.
