Rebecca (Becky) Burkett Mulroy, 62, passed away October 25, 2016, at her home in Denton.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016, Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, 4200 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
Becky was born in Fort Worth and from an early age, she loved the outdoors. She continued camping, canoing, and hiking her whole life, traveling often to parks all across the country. She especially loved western Texas and her land outside Terlingua.
Becky was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt, and a thoughtful gift-giver. She loved her family, her friends, and was a great fan of live music, wherever she found it.
After completing her Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation at UNT in Denton, she worked at UNT, and then for Texas Rehabilitation Commission (later DARS). She spent her professional life helping thousands of clients with disabilities.
Survivors: Parents, Frank and Sue Burkett; brothers, Joe and his wife, Molly; Jeff and his wife, Jill; and Sam and his wife, Angie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
