Dear Family….
Andrew was a friend of my
son Daniel and my daughter Kathryn
I had the pleasure of being in his company a few times.. We all went swimming, bowling and had a great fun time together..When my son told me if his passing my heart was broken for you all and all who knew him…I’m sending hugs to all of you especially to his Mom and Dad..
From one Mom to another..
May he rest in the arms of
Our Precious Lord Jesus…
Your friend,

Ol Dolphy boy,
You have never cut a good time short. You have always been a piece of this slum dog group just trying to find our way. I will always try and rip a freestyle the way you did which was loud and off beat lol but never the less had something to say within the lines of it. You will forever be remembered and never forgotten. Many of dance floors are gonna miss your vibe but our hearts will always keep the beat and rhythm goin for ya. You would have been the best bottle service waiter anywhere in town. I love you man and will always carry on your crazy, un wavering love for life. Thank you brother and much love. We got your back from here, now it’s just time for you to spread those wings and fly. See ya when I see ya. GOOOOAAAALLLL!

Dolph,
You never failed to surprise me! You’re a wild man but such a genuine person. I’ll never forget when you took my mom and sisters to Gus Fur, and then to Union underground to bowl when I was stuck at work, they will never forget it either. So many memories of fun nights that ended with great conversations.
Until I see you again,
Dan

Andrew,
We moved to Austin as we were both trying to find our way as young men… and what we found were some of the most fun and wild times of our lives. We floated the river together, went to sixth street together… more times than anyone can count, took trips together, went to concerts & festivals together, played sports together, and even got high together...once or twice.
I’ll never meet anyone as self assured as you. You notoriously pushed boundaries but often opened up incredible opportunities & special experiences that I will never forget.
There is no denying the impact you’ve had on so many. You can clearly see not only the amount of friends you’ve made in a life time, but the endless connections you’ve created in others. I’ve never met as many “friends of a friend”, that, simply turned into friends as I have, all thanks to you.
We are all here connected, because of you.
I’m honored to be a part of celebrating Andrew’s life and legacy.
I love you brother,
Sterling

One of my favorite memories of Andrew was from an evening many years ago while I was working with some buddies from high school at a downtown sushi restaurant in Austin. In the middle of an extremely chaotic night, someone whispers in my ear, "Dolph's here". My anxiety starts to build as we exchange eye contact from what had to be around 100 guests in the restaurant at the time. I try to keep my composure while maintaining a full section and wondering " why the hell's Dolph here right now ". When I finally get speak with him, I tell him that my boss said he needs to leave because he's starting to piss off the bar guests. Sadly, I can't remember what he said to be, but I do remember him shoving an ungodly amount of money into my pocket? I report back to my boss Kevin, I tell him that it's his job as General Manager to kick him out, not me! He simply replied, "Oh I don't care anymore, he just gave me a bunch of money." Same with some girls' boyfriend at the bar that made upset and SEVERAL over guests in the restaurant that night. I finally am able to lure him out the backdoor of the restaurant tell him to scamper like some unwanted solicitor. Those close to Andrew all know these kinds of nights were nothing out of the ordinary, but that's what we all loved about him. I could never stay upset with him for too long because the next minute he would say or do something so endearing that you just couldn't help but forgive the kid. Andrew always showed up to support his friends and I regret not getting to spend more time with him the past few years. Thank you, Andrew, always pushing me past my comfort zone and being a part of many life-long memories and experiences I'll truly never forget. I'm tearing up knowing that I'll never be greeted with another " who's this wise guy" from him. I Love you, Buddy.

To all the times I’ll never remember but mostly for all the times I won’t forget. Drew always treated me more like a brother than a friend, all while making even the laziest of nights exciting. An energy that was unmatched. Hurricane Dolph. He made everyone who knew him feel it too. Anyone who was close felt it. Gone way too soon. All my love to Heather and the girls. His presence will always be there. Grateful for all the times we got together. I’ll never forget the late night freestyle sessions, he was relentless with. A one of a kind guy and truly someone I could call a best friend. All love.

Just when I thought it was my turn to drop some bars.. you still had the stage. When I could finally bring Hippy and Gypsy down to Austin.. that house had a swing, treehouse and a new lease on life for both of us. The good outweighed the bad and I’ll never forget the hours of laughter you gifted me brotha.. grateful for everything you brought, not only to me but every homie, friend and random person on West 6th that had the privilege to witness your lyrical dominance.. love you Dolph

Andrew, you were always so passionate about everything you did. You were the most genuine person I’ve ever met and would do anything for your friends and family. I remember you not only helped me move in and out of places multiple but you offer help. You didn’t wait for your friends to ask you. That says all about how great of a character you had. I remember we were on our way to Colorado for JT’s bachelor party and it was just you and me in back free styling. Well let’s be honest haha it was mainly just you buddy haha I have so many great memories of you my dude. You will truly be missed and always loved.
I love you brother, may you rest easy and flow with biggie and 2 pac up there. I’ll see you again one day brother. Birthday brothers for life.

Someone who never lacked confidence. I’ll never forget a 3am Uber with him where he literally did a freestyle over the drivers music for 15 minutes strait. I ran into him randomly at a gas station in Bedford four years later to see him missing half a leg as he held a door for me not recognizing at first who I was. He seemed so at peace with himself. He will always inspire me.

We lost a legend, but legends never die.
They're stitched in everything we do.
You filled life up to the brim
And we all jumped right in.
A pack of wild animals
Roaming through our twenties
Wild and free
Loud and reckless
We swam in the rivers
Ran through the fields
Stayed up all night howling at the moon
You will be missed.
We love you, brother.

Dolph, we first became friends during the years that you were living with Wes but I know we crossed paths up in DFW. From being the first person to take me out on 6th st, to many more nights out on the town, one thing I’ll always remember is you’re passion for sports and music. You always supported Wes and I venture into our own music, and you would always have a good time with us freestyling and making all the moments more lively. Love you brother and thank you for all the good times and many memories within the friend group.

I got to know Andrew the first year Wes and I bought our house. He was the life of our house warming party and felt right at home with my friends and family. So much so that he spent most weekends at our house when he wasn’t with his girls. He brought a fun energy to our home that I will always treasure. He friended my neighbors before we did thru a backyard conversation over the fence lol. One of my favorite Dolf memories was him playing Amy Winehouse on repeat in my living room making us all belt out “VALERIE!!” on the microphone. His kind heart and friendship is dearly missed.

One of my favorite memories with Dolph was taking a spontaneous trip to Costa Rica. It was one of the best times of my life. If you could imagine being in a different country with Dolph. We lost him within 12 hours of being there and couldn't find him anywhere. Until he finally replied back to our Facebook message saying he was at the nearest best western lol. He somehow ended up 15 minutes away from our hostel at the nicest Best Western I've ever seen in my life. We had a good laugh about the night before then headed to the coast to get to our final destination. I surfed for the first time and walked through a rainforest. The trip was crazy from start to finish and we barely caught our flight back home to the States.

For my dearest Dolph
It’s no surprise that people equate you with a good time, because you were and then some! The times we had on “old” Rainey will live on in infamy. I hope you have comfort in knowing that your good friend, Janrai has always taken measures to look after your girls. And you can bet I will always have his back, your back, and your girls best interest. I am proud of the way you fought and hope you will be proud of the way we honor you.
All my love to you, family and friends.

Andrew will always hold a special place in my heart. He was popular, athletically gifted, and full of life, but most importantly he was always kind to anyone and everyone.
My favorite memory of Andrew was when we both agreed the Rangers were going to win the series. And they did - just for him.
I love you, brother.

In the tapestry of life, Dolph's presence was a vibrant thread that added color and warmth to the lives he touched. His infectious laughter echoed through the corridors of shared memories, leaving behind a mosaic of joy. Dolph was a beacon of kindness, always ready with a comforting word or a helping hand. His genuine spirit created an atmosphere where friendship flourished effortlessly. As we gather to celebrate his life, let us remember Dolph not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the indelible mark he left on our hearts—a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived. With love, Herm

We had lots of great times with Andrew in Austin and San Marcos. While we didn’t keep in close touch after college, I will always consider Andrew a close friend and will remember him as the fun and welcoming person he always was. I greatly admire his strength and perseverance during his recent hard times, and will continue to keep his family and daughters in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Andrew <3

Andrew,
I want to express my deepest gratitude, my brother, for everything. The memories we shared are countless and heartwarming. You were a man who embraced life with such passion that you taught us all to appreciate it more. The life of the party, you owned the center stage with your hours of lyrical madness.
In moments of self-doubt, you guided my mind towards clarity of the bigger picture and stood by me when times were tough. Your epic one-liners, catching everyone off guard, and your ability to create new groups of friends taught me something new every time. Thank you, brother.
Always armed with a smile to uplift the room, cracking jokes repeatedly, you will be eternally missed because there is truly no one like you. Whether it was taking the pups to the Greenbelt, enjoying a brew while watching the Cowboys play the Vikings (only to return home to unexpected dog poop landmines in the Ware House we had just moved into), showing me how to fully experience ACL with a week-old wristband, navigating Rainey and West 6th with petti cabs showcasing passerbys your unsolicited rhymes, or falling out of my chair while Anthony Jeselnik roasted us—the memories and laughs are endless.
I feel fortunate to have given you the Comedy Mothership hoodie, a small token of appreciation since you were the one who introduced me to the comedy scene in Austin. Seeing you struggle to put it on warmed my soul because, like every situation, you fought until the very end, epitomizing the true definition of a Warrior.
Dolph, I miss you dearly; you were a brother who challenged me to be better than I was yesterday. You always had my back, no matter what, and I will continue to have yours even in our next chapter.
I love you, brotha. Gone too soon, but forever in our hearts..

You captured my heart so many years ago and through our journey together we had 2 beautiful baby girls. We had so so many amazing adventures together and as a family. I promise to continue to keep our Colorado dream alive and show the girls everything we had planned and talked about for them. I promise to teach them the world the way we viewed it and I promise to keep you alive everyday! They will always know how much you love them and how beautiful your soul was and will always be.
