To the family and dear friends of Jorge, my deepest condolences. I met Jorge through work back in 2018 and have developed a close working relationship since. He was always willing to help find solutions to problems no matter how difficult the situation. He shared many stories about his wonderful family and his passion Honda vehicles whenever we spoke. Like some of peers, I saw Jorge a year ago and was looking forward to catching up with him last week at the annual industry conference. He will be deeply missed but hope his loved ones will continue to celebrate his memories.
Rest in Power.

I was deeply saddened to hear that Jorge had passed. It's been a little over month since I last spoke with him. He was not only a valued member of our team, but also a good friend. I worked with Jorge as a bank client for the last four years. His positive spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of working with him. I am grateful for the memories we shared and the impact he had on all of us.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy,

I will never forget the first time I met Jorge. It was 2006, and he and Claudia invited us for my very first Thanksgiving celebration. They were so kind to welcome Javier and me into their home in Houston; we felt welcomed right away. We had a great time and discovered that we all loved McRibs, so we often went to McDonald's together. He was also kind enough to invite us again for Christmas with my entire family from Mexico, where he and Claudia received them with open arms. We always laughed at the fun differences between Puerto Ricans and Mexicans and how we mixed our cultures.
He was our first call when Javier and I married in Miami, and he made a great effort to come to Mexico for our wedding, even though Elena was a newborn. He was such a kind soul, always smiling and talking about the latest movies and series we should watch or restaurants to try. We will always remember him, and he will always be with us. We will keep telling all the fun stories and experiences we had with him to his kids. We love you, Jorge, and I hope you are with my dad now, joking and watching over us.

In Memory of Jorge Bracero
It feels like just yesterday when I was traveling up and down California with Jorge. We shared many miles, countless conversations, and unforgettable meals. Jorge was a well-respected man—honorable, intelligent, and with a heart full of love for the things that mattered most: his family, food, and his dreams.
I’ll never forget the way he spoke about his family. His children were his world, and he lit up when talking about them. Whether spending time watching movies with them or sharing his excitement about his new home and his plans for the horse and blueberry farm, Jorge always had a vision for a life filled with love and joy.
As a colleague, Jorge commanded respect in every room, but it was his laughter, his warmth, and his generosity that truly stood out. Even in the face of his health challenges, which he kept private, Jorge managed to focus on the positives. The last time we spoke, he mentioned cutting out soda and joked that he had lost weight, though he was clearly facing something much more difficult. That was Jorge—always focusing on the brighter side, no matter what.
While our relationship was primarily professional, our conversations were always deeper—about family, about food, and about the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. Though he never fully shared what he was going through, my respect for him only grew, knowing how deeply he loved his family and how he carried himself through everything with quiet strength.
To his family—my heart goes out to you. Jorge was a tremendous man, and I am honored to have known him. I hope you find comfort in knowing how deeply he loved you and how much he was admired by all who had the privilege to work with him.
With deepest sympathies,
Kenneth Kim

Jorgito:
I will always remember your visits to Mexico when I was just a little kid. I remember you eating pizza and drinking coca-cola while I thought to myself how I longed to be as grown up as you.
Then I had the privilege of meeting your beautiful family and my beautiful nephews. And once again thought to myself how I wanted to follow those steps.
I will forever carry in my heart your last joke, our last lunch together, and your eternal memory as my old brother. May you rest in peace Jorgito, I love you.

My deepest condolences to Claudia, Julian, Elena and family. Jorge was a wonderful person and he will be in our hearts forever.
I met Jorge or "Jorgito", as we used to call him, when I was working at JPMorgan back in Argentina more than 10 years ago. Then I had the chance to work with him again at MUFG Union Bank, where I had the luck to be part of his team. He was a mentor to me and one of the best managers I've ever had. He was knowledgeable, caring, honest and generous. He always had time to help. I remember we used to talk a lot on the phone because he was in Texas and I was in LA. Even when I left MUFG we kept in touch. He was a friend. Besides talking about work we used to talk about our life, our families. I loved to hear how happy he was in his new house, with the horses and the dogs. And how Claudia and the kids enjoyed it. I loved to hear him happy. He was a happy person that brought joy to everyone. I remember our dinners at Din Tai Fung, and how he laughed like crazy with my husband and I over the chocolate dumplings. I remember going to have ice cream at Braum's when I visited Texas and how he opened the doors of his home to have dinner with him and his beautiful family. He had cooked tostones, which he loved. So many memories. I could keep writing and writing. Even though this is a very sad time, because Jorge has left us, I will always remember him with joy. Every time I think about him it brings a smile to my face.
Sending my love to the family. Jorge will always be in our hearts. He will be missed, but will never be forgotten. He was the best!

My heartfelt condolences to all -
Jorge and I only worked together at US Bank for a brief time, but he quickly became a dear friend. I will forever cherish his memory and the positive impact that he had on my life.
He and I never had a calendared "sync up" because I knew to expect his call everyday where we would talk through the happenings of the portfolio, work on email responses together, and chat about the happenings of our lives-- he spoke often of how his wife was his rock and strength, and how much he enjoyed hanging out and watching movies with his kids. Sometimes we would talk for 2-3 hours (especially if we had a lot of work to do) and then he would announce that he was going to get Chick-Fil-A…I will miss him tremendously.
He was a light, a kind soul, his sense of humor was infectious, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him knows that he certainly knew how to bring a smile to your face. The world is a better place for him being in it, and I am so saddened that he leaves it so soon.

How many good memories...High School, driving at night coming from parties on your dad's Mazda 929, sitting at your mom's English class, Penn State roommates, with "our table" "reserved" for us at our local Chinese restaurant, and more important, meeting the love of your life, Claudia. Later on re-uniting again in Texas. You will be missed greatly and never forgotten!!!! My prayers to your family.

What a wonderful life you lived Jorge. The family you created is precious and blessed. You lived your life well. Nathan remembers passing down his bike to Julian. Alex recalls you helping him with the lawn, Kristen remembers you and Claudia bringing pizza to our house the night we moved to Summerwood. Lauren remembers being shocked that you spoke Spanish and I remember you encouraging me to eat an olive just so you could laugh while I gagged. No one can replace you, unique and quite a character. I will miss you so much. Hasta luego…nos vemos! Bye! (In Jorge’s voice).
