Obituary of Charles M Yaws
Charles Yaws, a devoted family man, proud patriot, lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, and animal lover, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on January 3, 1972, in Dallas Texas, he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty to the people and passions that shaped his days.
A man who deeply loved his country, Charles was a firm believer in the values of freedom, hard work, and community. Whether it was flying the American flag proudly or taking a moment to thank a service member, his patriotism was a guiding light in his life.
An ardent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Charles never missed a game, whether from the stands or the comfort of his favorite chair. His enthusiasm for the team was infectious, and Sundays were sacred for cheering on "America’s Team."
Above all, Charles was a devoted family man. He was the beloved husband of Amy, a proud father to Bruce, Dylan, and Jessie, and a cherished grandfather to Samuel, Logan, James, Rex, Wayne, Khyree, Sybastian, and Sylas—who proudly carries his grandfather’s middle name, Marshal. His family was his greatest joy, and he never missed an opportunity to show them how much they meant to him. Charles also had a special place in his heart for his pets, who brought him comfort and companionship throughout his life.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His memory will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the roar of a Cowboys touchdown, and the quiet moments shared with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn; his sister, Candus; his aunt, Jeanette; and his daughters-in-law, Kaycee Majoris and Raina. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Charlene, and Harry Scott.
Though his chair is now empty, and his voice will no longer echo during game day, Charles’ spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
