Anna was a loving, generous lady. She loved to give gifts to new babies and her Christian friends. Many times she did the decorations for the church ladies Christmas parties, teas, or other events. I remember one especially colorful dinner when Anna spent hours dyeing rice different colors and mixed it together in clear glasses. It was stunning. She also made crosses for each lady present. Mine now adorns my Chrustmas tree each year. I will always think of her when I hang this ornament. When I taught Sunday School, Anna was there to take attendance, bring supplies, or assist in any way that she could. Anna was a huge Grapevine Mustang fan!! She and Mickey loved attending the football games especially. Anna showed her school spirit with a special pony hat, noisemakers, etc and wore the rest, white, and blue school colors with pride and flair. Anna was the least self conscious person I have ever known. She was not vain in the least. Anna was all about others and excited to encourage them in whatever way she could. She will be missed especially at Graoevine Church of Christ and Mustang Stadium.

I was fortunate to get to know Anna the last couple of years working in the Christmas Musical at Grapevine Church of Christ. She was always ready to help in any way. The children and congregation will miss her sweet spirit. Blessings and prayers to Mickey.

What will this world do without Anna in it? I will forever miss her sweet spirit, her beautiful smile, her heart warming laugh and her great love for the Grapevine High School Mustangs. I will look for her at every home football game and I will cry wnen I realize she won't be there physically. I know she will be watching from Heaven above. Anna, I cannot believe you "went home" before me. Make a place for me somewhere near you. I will keep your brother in my prayers. Oh, how I will miss you, Anna. Thank you for being my friend.

I've known Anna since the 1960s when I met her in 7th grade. She was always a special person who loved her school with a passion. Things did not come easy for her but she always tried her best and loved everyone. She will always be in the hearts of the Grapevine High School class of 1971.
